finally.
i'm in a two-bedroom apartment in a highrise aparment ghetto.
my phone number's changed, so don't call me at home, if you were going to. it's now 485-2924 (same area code). my address has changed too, obviously, but i'll let those people who need it know.
i'll post some pics once i get settled and internet.
work is a bit better. i finish earlier. get more money.

the laptop is fixed, however, there is a bit of structural damage that i'm wary of. i don't think it was there before i gave it to them, but i can't be certain.
in any case, i'm lucky that i had backed up (essentially) my entire home directory recently, maybe june. so i recovered quite well from the hard drive failure. i got all my music (2600 songs), plus most of my pictures, documents, etc.
but my external firewire hard drive is acting up. i blame either the chip maker or OS X. others seem to have problems with OS X and fire wire hard drives, but i've not found any with my problem, which is that the drive does not mount but rather makes strange spin-up-spin-down noises.
there's a full season of sopranos on that drive, as well as a bunch of movies that i haven't watched. and i just bought that drive recently. i will be upset if the drive fails, as i had one fail on me already, which is why i bought this one.
i need a beer.
the hard drive on my ibook died, so i haven't been able to do anything.
i also got enteritis in bangkok.
but ko samet in thailand was awesome.
i've re-signed for another year here. my new contract starts next week, which basically means i will work a little less, finish earlier, and make more money. i'm also going to move into a two-bedroom apartment.
the ibook has been sent to seoul to be fixed. it's gonna cost me W430,000 (about CA$500), for a 60GB hard drive (originally it was 30GB). hopefully by wednesday, it'll be fixed.
